Kenya : Pili Pili

What you need

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 2 small onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 a lime
  • 3 very hot chilies

Cut the tomatoes, chili, garlic and onion into large chunks. Squeeze some lime over this. Put these together and blend with a cup of water.

In a non-stick pot, add the olive oil and when this is warm, add the blended mix.

Stir on low heat and reduce the sauce until pasty/thick. Remove from heat and allow it to cool before serving.
